Lou Reed, Velvet Underground Leader, dies at 71
【訃報】ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンドのリーダー、Lou Reed (ルー・リード) が死去
Velvet Underground (ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンド) のリーダーでロック界の英雄のひとり、Lou Reed (ルー・リード) が2013年10月27日に死去した。71歳だった。死因は現在明らかにされてはいないが、今年5月に肝臓移植手術を受けていたという。同士はアバンギャルドなロックとポップアートを大衆音楽に伝え、半世紀にもわたりロック界に影響を与え続けていた。

大学院生からオーバードクターの頃、ヴェルヴェッツを繰り返し聴いていた。
自分はジョン・ケイルが偉いと思っている派だったので、アルバムは２枚目まで派で、ていうかウォーホルもニコも要らないので２枚目がベスト派だったわけだけれど、

なぜか涙腺にくる曲というのが、４枚目のポンコツアルバムに入っている「Rock & Roll」なのである。

なんと、３年前にも「ロックンロール」が頭の中をぐるぐるしていたらしいのだった（http://d.hatena.ne.jp/k-i-t/20100913）。そして、その記事を読んで気づいたのは、自分が好きな「ロックンロール」のテイクは、『ローデッド』でなくて裏好盤『another view』に入ってるほうだった。
